and i was looking at old tags on my tagboard, and i saw sam's message about joe's blue eyes :D

now, i shall do something i haven't done in a really really long time (:

haha. guess what?

cause while the teacher was explaining the experiments and stuff and what we should take note of, i was falling asleep, not cause it was boring. i was just really really tired. and i was leaning on YY, and my eyes were closing, closing..

then it was time to do the experiment ourselves (test for gases)

and i was testing for oxygen (magnesium oxide plus HCl, i think)

and i didn't know that the reaction between magnesium oxide and HCl would create so much heat. so i was holding the test tube with my bare hands. then i put the glowing splint at the mouth of the test tube and saw it glow brighter and i was like "cool! :D"

then suddenly, i felt the test tube becoming hotter and hotter (is there such a word?) and i knew at once i should put it down but there was no test tube holder at that bench and if i just put it down like that, the disgusting black stuff magnesium oxide and HCl formed would spill out from the test tube and i'd get scolded like hell

(though i was half asleep, i do remember the teacher saying something about how you should never leave a test tube with stuff inside around, and make hte stuff spill out)

so all i did was go "shit, hot, shit, hot, shit, hot, shit, hot, shit, hot, shit, hot, shit, hot, shit, hot, shit, hot.." and after awhile, when my brain finally started working (that took quite awhile) i ran to the nearest bench (eva's) and placed my test tube in her test tube holder.

i think some of the nerves in my fingers died.

oh well, at least now i can play the guitar without feeling that horrible pain on my finger tips (:
