actually, i'm quite sad. i should've enjoyed the whole planning process and the thing itself more.
shucks.
can i do it again next year?
i bet i complained a lot during the whole planning process. especially nights where we had to stay back till really late.
but come to think of it, it was rather fun, and now i miss it all ):
the pop-out-of-nowhere china people
the stupid printer which drove me nuts
thinking of a game to play at hwa chong
finding the songs to play during dinner
burning the songs to play during dinner into a disc
the teh tarik in the alumnae room
shar scaring me and herself late in the night
the sorting of certs
the wrong names on the certs
laura feeding me a soggy chicken burger
etc, etc.
one thing i won't miss is the stupid security guard at the NLB.
he practically drove me up the wall. worse than the stupid printer.
chik, jiani, mei ling and i were sitting at some ulu corner outisde the library, and he chased us away
we sat at another even more ulu corner outside the library, and he chased us away again and told us to sit on the bench he pointed at
we sat on the bench he pointed at, and he chased us away again.
in the end, we had to sit like, outisde the shop across the street.
"food for thought" it was called
their cakes were gooooood(:
and i like the shop guy like, a million times more than the stupid security guard.
we sat at a table outside their shop (but the table belonged to them) for like an hour plus, and we didn't buy anything, but the shop guy didn't chase us away (like we thought he would).
and after an hour plus, chik and i decided to be nice and went in to buy a slice of cake each.
after helping us get our cake:
shop guy: "hey, do you guys need ice?"
me:"oh, it's okay"
shop guy: "really? you guys look like you'll be here for qutie awhile, and the weather's quite hot"
me:"huh, oh. it's really okay"
shop guy:"okay. but if later you all really need ice, don't need to paiseh hor. come find me"
which i thought was really nice of him, unlike the idiotic security guard.
oh, and i went back to school:
"jia, i heard you fell. are you okay?"
i got that at least three times. then later on, i found out it was jiaying who fell.
haha.

dinner was great.
and i don't just mean the food (which i hardly even ate, so i don't know)
i mean the whole thing. and i really didn't want to leave early
but dg outing was good too(:
